Green Water Technologies | Drink Up For Your Health

Green Water Technologies
Warm weather is (hopefully) near and that means it’s time to bust out the drinks. But Green Water Technologies says to leave the alcohol in the fridge because what your body really needs is water.

Green Water Technologies notes that the adult body is made up of about 60% H2O. And water, despite being known as simply a thirst quencher, is essential to life. Every cell and every piece of tissue within the human body relies on water to continue to thrive.

But not every body needs the same amount of water, and Green Water Technologies says that your needs will depend upon your activity level, current health, and even how much you sweat during the day. Water is lost through movement, so couch potatoes require less hydration than runners.

A few of the most important functions of water are:
  • Water protects the spinal cord. Water serves as a lubricant for the joints, including the vertebrae, which are the movable bones along the spine. Without it, the soft tissue between the bones can get week, leading to back pain.
  • Water assists with digestion and waste removal. The saliva in your mouth is not just water. It contains a bevy of enzymes that start the digestion process. Green Water Technologies reports that water continues to play a role in digestion until waste is removed from the body. Likewise, water dilutes toxins and allows your body to excrete waste through urination and perspiration.
  • Water affects skin. No one wants to walk around with wrinkly skin. Green Water Technologies explains that its moisture can have an effect on your appearance. Drink enough water in your skin will be supple, soft, and youthful. Allow yourself to remain continually dehydrated and you can suffer with dark, sunken hollows under your eyes along with wrinkles and ashiness.
Green Water Technologies suggest drinking water until you’ve satisfied your thirst. There is no hard and fast rule, the water quality experts explain, that everyone should follow. Drinking until you no longer feel thirsty the best way to ensure your body is hydrated.
